Visa Application Documents for Children Born in New Zealand with New Zealand Citizenship and Chinese Descent

1. Passport. Applicant's original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and blank visa pages, and a photocopy of bio-data page.

2. Photo. Must be a recent coloured ID photo, facing forward and with light coloured background, and bareheaded.

    3.Visa Application Form. Complete China Visa Application Form through China Online Visa Application website (https://consular.mfa.gov.cn/VISA/ ).

    4. Make Appointment for visa submission. Once the application is submitted, it needs to be reviewed. After the application is passed,please make an appointment for visa submission through the same website (https://consular.mfa.gov.cn/VISA/ ).

5. Supporting Documents.

(1) Birth Certificate of the Child and its photocopy;

(2) Parents' Passports and the photocopies, including the passports that the parents held when the child was born and their valid passports when the visa application was submitted;

(3) Proof of legal stay or residents status of the parents and the photocopies, including the citizen endorsement, residence, work or student visa etc, that the parents held when the child was born and the valid ones when the visa application was submitted;

(4) An invitation letter issued by a Chinese citizen or a foreign citizen with a Chinese permanent residence permit who lives in China.The invitation letter should contain:

         Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, passport number, etc.).

         Information on the visit (the purpose of visit, arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, relations between the applicant and the inviting individual, financial source for expenditures).

         Information on the inviting individual (name, contact number, address, signature etc.).

         Photocopies of both sides of Chinese ID or foreign passport and permanent residence permit of the inviting individual.

6. Other Documents that Consular Officers regards as necessary.
