Consul General Jin Zhijian and His Wife Visited Christchurch Art Gallery

Consul General Jin Zhijian and his wife visited Christchurch Art Gallery on March 27 and were warmly welcomed by Director Jenny Harper and Deputy Director Blair Jackson. 

Mr. Blair Jackson briefed them on the Gallery's history, collections, operation conditions and recovery after earthquake. Accompanied by Mr. Blair, Mr. and Mrs. Jin visited the ongoing exhibitions of contemporary art and Gallery's collections.

Consul General Jin congratulated on the reopening of the Gallery and spoke highly of the style and level of the collection, he also expressed his hope to strengthen cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

Christchurch Art Gallery is the largest art organization in South Island and has more than 6500 pieces in its collection.
