Consul General Jin Zhijian Pays Farewell Courtesy Call on Deputy Secretary Grahame Morton of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand

On 18th August, Consul General Jin Zhijian paid farewell courtesy call on Grahame Morton, Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand.

Consul General Jin recalled his pleasant working experiences in the past three years and expressed sincere thanks to the various official and civil circles for their support to the work of Consulate General and himself. He said that with the joint efforts by both sides, remarkable achievements have been made in the exchanges and cooperation between China and South Island in various fields during recent years, and he was honored to participate in and witness such process. He was convinced that the friendly bilateral cooperation will keep making new progress.

Morton spoke highly of Consul General Jin’s contributions to promoting the development of relationship between China and South Island and pragmatic bilateral cooperation in various fields, feeling regretful for his departure. He pointed out that the prospects of cooperation between New Zealand and China will be broad. The New Zealand side is ready to continue strengthening communication and coordination with the Consulate General and making relentless efforts to promote the development of bilateral relations and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between South Island and China.
