Consul General Jin Visits West Coast to Bid Farewell

On September 1, 2017, Consul General Jin Zhijian paid farewell calls on Grey Mayor Tony Kokshoorn and Westland Mayor Bruce Smith, expressing thanks to the two Mayors and the governments for their support and assistance to the Chinese Consulate General and himself throughout the years. He said that during recent years, cooperation between China and the two districts have been deepening with more and more Chinese tourists coming to visit West Coast. The Chinese Consulate General attaches great importance to friendly cooperation with the two districts. He believes that with the joint efforts of both sides, cooperation between China and the two districts will be much advanced in varous fields such as economic and trade cooperation, tourism, education and sister-city relations.

Both Mayors spoke highly of Consul General Jin’s remarkable contributions to the promotion of relations between China and the two districts during his term and felt regretful for his departure, hoping to continue cooperating with the Chinese Consulate General to push forward the development of bilateral relations.
