Consul General Jin Zhijian Meets with Minister supporting Greater Christchurch Regeneration Nicky Wagner

On 4th August, Consul General Jin Zhijian met with Minister supporting Greater Christchurch Regeneration Nicky Wagner.

Consul General briefed Minister Wagner on the latest achievements of exchanges between China and South Island. He stressed that the Chinese government encourages Chinese enterprises to bring their experience and advantages in infrastructure construction into play and take an active part in the process of Christchurch regeneration and economic development. He hoped that the New Zealand side will continue providing facilitation for Chinese enterprises to cooperate in key projects. He also bade Minister Wagner farewell and expressed his thanks for her long term support to the Chinese Consulate General and himself.

Minister Wagner spoke highly of the development of the China-New Zealand relations. She said New Zealand is willing to deepen cooperation with China in Christchurch regeneration and welcomed more Chinese enterprises to invest and start business so as to jointly explore cooperation opportunities. She highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of Consul General Jin to the bilateral exchanges and cooperation during the past three years. She felt deeply regretful for Consul General Jin's departure and wished him all the best in the future.
